Narrative:
"An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. 'A fight is going on inside me,' he said to the boy. 'It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.

One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.' He continued, 'The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too.'

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, 'Which wolf will win?' The old Cherokee simply replied, 'The one you feed'." ~ A Cherokee Legend

Personal Note: The story and the truth of it are quite timeless, as I suffer with the same internal struggles daily. I see my wolves and both constantly demand my attentions, in their own unique ways. Whether or not just one will win, remains to be seen, but so far attempting to keep both in check, seems like I can never satisfy either of them - perhaps all I am doing is starving both? And in turn starving my own self the bounty of either true peace or pure arrogance? Time will tell which wolf for me wins, but in the meantime the passions of each allow me an interesting creative approach to things, for it is when both are demanding the most from me simultaneously that I tend to create.
