Production Cost

I don't make a penny on all my printing, finishing, mounting, framing, materials used, and shipping, and I pass those productions costs along to you at my wholesale cost, transparently without profit. I do this, so that there are only small and mostly inconsequential differences in costs to produce in one medium vs. another, types of finishing, and various styles of framing and/or mounting vs. another.  I believe you should get what you want that will honor the art piece, your tastes, and your décor. My 'Limited-Lifetime Warranty' works the same way.

Artist’s Fee

All Editions

This is my profit, based upon the square inches of  the artwork produced. Most photographers out there selling their open editions are playing the 3-times or 4-times markup game, based on their landed production cost. Yet, I found in my experience that this methodology tends to undercut the value of my artwork, as the amount of profit made may vary wildly and inconsistently from medium and style to another, depending upon how that production was fulfilled, without much regard toward the true value of the artist's expertise and prestige. It serves me and the intended appreciable value of my limited-edition artwork much better to charge a consistent artist's fee, based on dimensions and the artwork's pricing tier, and not on how much something costs to produce. Three tiers of limited-edition pricing exists, plus a very affordable open-edition tier, depending upon image originality and subject matter, and each has minimum size restrictions. For example: Tier 1 - 16x24 & larger; Tier 2 - 12x18 & larger; Tier 3 - 8x12 & larger; Tier 4 - all sizes. Some exceptions apply.

Original Artist's Proofs

In addition to the standard artist's fee for a size, an additional artist's proof premium applies, since it is more highly desirable, scarce, and unique. This even allows an open edition print to have a chance at scarcity, uniqueness, and desirability. Minimum size restrictions for artist's proofs exist. For Example: Tier 1 - 20x30 & larger; Tier 2 - 16x24 & larger; Tier 3 & 4 - 12x18. Some exceptions apply.
