Narrative:
"When you go out to paint, try to forget what objects you have before you, a tree, a house, a field, or whatever. Merely think, here is a little square of blue, here an oblong of pink, here a streak of yellow." ~ Claude Monet

My first visit into the scenic country of the White Mountains in Arizona was an event reminiscent, like so many other places I visit for the first time that in memory last, of the need to let go of where I've been before and to embrace everything with nothing - to forget what has worked in the past. To be vulnerable and not so tight, just to think about the simple play of colored hues and light -- as if the landscape was merely a supporting player at last -- to the luminescence giving way to my night. Here is my square of blue, an oblong of pink, and a streak of yellow; to the original master true, remembering to forget and merely think, he's quite a fine fellow.
