I've been to Secret Canyon twice now, and I can never go around this corner without paying homage to this feature. Each time is a trial in patience because the sands do not always flow. They are dependent upon winds above moving sand over the edge into the slot canyon, and often it is not enough to cause this, until it builds up enough on the ledge. Thankfully it is often windy in the Page area, so I only had to wait about 30-40 minutes to execute this shot, plus maybe I contributed a little bit of sand myself to help speed things along. The great thing about gaining access to this slot, is you can have hours of uninterrupted time to set up any shots you want without a steady stream of tourists moving through and getting in your way.
