Canyon Wall Charm
“Ever charming, ever new
When will the landscape tire the view?”
~ John Dyer
I spent a morning on a boat at Canyon Lake, looking to capture images of Big Horn sheep coming down to the water for summer relief, but the temperature was unusually nice and it was raining all morning, so there was little need for the sheep to wander away from their comforts. However being the opportunist I found plenty of beautiful images to capture on the canyon walls.
This image most any other time would probably not have been interesting at all, but the pouring rain and overcast day provided a soft lighting and color that really contributed to the beauty of the landscape, thus at this particular moment, the surrounding atmosphere is what made the image come together.
