No Words For The Hidden Spirit

No Words For The Hidden Spirit

"There are no words that can tell the hidden spirit of the wilderness, that can reveal its mystery, its melancholy, and its charm."

This is about the 2/3rd point of the "trail" to the Devils Chasm Cliff Ruins in the Tonto National Forest, while standing on top of a steeply-inclined, smooth granite cascade of third big obstacle. Water has polished the rock surface here to the point that even when dry the granite is slippery, and if water is running and/or any sort of light rain is present, then besides some rock skills, you will also need some rope probably, as wet polishe granite is a guaranteed injury if you test it. When hiking in and staying nearby overnight, to return the next morning, make sure you are going to have clear weather. My biggest concern going in is if I could get out the next day with the slight chances of rain in the forecast I had. I think this part is at least one part of the "Devil" in "Devil's Chasm".
