From atop Glacier Point in Yosemite National Park, immediately after sunset with the sun out of view by the cloud blanket below, this rainbow spot naturally occurred. Often known as a Sundog, this one was missing any evidence of a halo, which can often accompany. This prism lasted about five minutes before it and the rest of the dusk’s light finally gave up for the evening. The area where the thick blanket of clouds covered is coincidentally known as “Cloud’s Rest”.
