One Of A Thousand Windows
"Oh, these vast, calm, measureless mountain days, inciting at once to work and rest! Days in whose light everything seems equally divine, opening a thousand windows to show us God. Nevermore, however weary, should one faint by the way who gains the blessings of one mountain day; whatever his fate, long life, short life, stormy or calm, he is rich forever." ~ John Muir
On the morning of my last day, I decided to work El Capitan. I had spent a night at Camp 4 a few days prior and knew there people creating a new route, so it was just a matter of spotting them. It was just around dawn on that rainy morning when the sunrise finally broke through the clouds, and then I saw them with the sun creeping down the cliff face just feet away from their tent.
