Food Cones
Day 2 of my river trip down the Colorado River, through the Grand Canyon, we stopped for lunch and were introduced to a new way to eat our lunch.
Our guides, Al, Mac, Brandalyn, and Maggie always prepared these wonderful fresh lunches for us, and today there was no bread. Just tortillas, salad, and grilled chicken chunks, along with all the condiments, avocado, and potato chips.
Pictured here, Brandalyn demonstrates how to create a food cone for lunch, by cutting tortillas in half and rolling them up similar to how an ice-cream cone would look. Then simply load it up and layer it up however you choose. This was such a good lunch, I ate 4 of them, and by the 4th cone had mastered the perfect layering system of salad, chicken, avocado, dressing, and chips. What a great lunch!
