Rainbow's Pledge Of Sunshine

Rainbow's Pledge Of Sunshine

"When thou dost shine, darkness looks white and fair,
Forms turn to music, clouds to smiles and air;
Rain gently spends his honey-drops, and pours
Balm on the cleft earth, milk on grass and flowers.
Bright pledge of peace and sunshine!" ~ Henry Vaughan

After getting through the worst of storm, I finally started descending into Yosemite Valley and my first visions of the valley were met with this apology for my trouble.

Often the first waterfall visitors to Yosemite Valley see is from the "Tunnel-view" after coming from Wawona to Yosemite Valley. Bridalveil Falls drops 620 feet from a U-shaped hanging valley. Once just a stream flowing down a valley until glacial activity carved away Yosemite Valley leaving this 'valley that falls off a cliff.' The Tunnel View is one of the most famous views of Yosemite Valley and is a view point on Highway 41.
