Photographed last February from my rooftop in Tempe, Arizona. What was oddly cool about catching this amazing cloud formation lit up by the setting sun, was the vivid sandstone coloring the cloud was making. Normally something like this looks like one of our common monsoon dust storms in the summer time. What also seemed oddly appropriate is that i photographed this on an evening I had just returned from Coyote Buttes in Northern Arizona, where sandstone color rules everything. A befitting end from my journey home.
