Aspects Of Existence

Aspects Of Existence

“In one drop of water are found all the secrets of all the oceans; in one aspect of You are found all the aspects of existence.” ~ Khalil Gibran

When one considers the Grand Canyon, it is easy to think of the main water system being the Colorado River and little else. However in truth there are hundreds of canyon systems in the Grand Canyon that flow into and contribute to the Colorado’s flow, with Shinumo being one of the largest of these canyon systems. The origin of the word, traced to John Wesley Powell, referred to the ancient pueblo people by this name. Shinumo is a short and easy hike from the river’s edge, with the reward being this beautiful waterfall that you can swim and play in to cool off from the day’s hot travels. For an extra bit of fun, people can climb around a set of gaps next to the waterfall to get behind it, and then emerge through the waterfall itself, like several of my friends did. But overall, just relaxing next to the flow of the water’s secrets in a wonderful way to spend your time and consider the aspects of your existence.
