About an hour into our morning session, we pulled over to enjoy a mid-morning exploration of “Red Wall Cavern”, which as you might image was a bowled-out cavern in the cliff face along the shore at a bend in the river, which lived up to its colored namesake. While the photographers looked for interesting shots of the ceiling’s radial pattern in abstracts or fun silhouettes, others played a rousing game of Bocce Ball, while yet others just sat in the shaded reflections by the water, shining off of the opposite canyon walls lit by the sun.
