This Great Blue Heron, one of many I saw daily, passes the raft cruising down-river on the Colorado River, while I was rafting through The Grand Canyon. The colonies were particular thick with activity in Marble Canyon during the first two days of adventure. Often during the morning segments of our journey, I would stay up front in the "Bathtub" of the raft scanning the landscapes side to side for bits of wildlife, which was quite common to the watchful eye.
