A Morning Delight With The Hooker's

"...I fell in love with the Hooker's, for a morning delight. A prim rosebud's a-blooming in the pre-dawn light..." ~ Jack Mountain

Like so many things, I learn after trying it the hard way, and sometimes it doesn't matter, that I don't know what to say. The first time I met Hooker's Evening Primrose, I didn't understand her or others of the evening similar I suppose. Thinking that I am late in the season for this bloom, judged by how tired the pedals look in the late afternoon, I tried for awhile to revive and tease out a good shot, but eventually gave up, frustrated, it was hot. The next morning when I skirted by the patch and spied, a renewal had occurred; awake, fresh, perky, alive. I fell in love with the Hooker's, for a morning delight. A prim rosebud's a-blooming in the pre-dawn light. I re-acquainted myself again, in a bit of a tizzy, apologizing for the previous Evening's indiscretions, and then got busy. Relenting after in requited resting relief, it wasn't respite, it was just right.

This one and many more can be found on the Grand Canyon's North Rim, along the road to Imperial Point. But its not alone...its a blooming party in summer up there, as this beauty was surrounded on all sides by the likes of Slendertube Skyrockets, Bluebonnet Lupine, Showy Goldeneye, and many others. This is where the blooms are.
