Torches Holding Back The Winter Frosts
"All in a few days they become fired with blazing light, a torch holding back the winter frosts." ~ Ann Zwinger
Photographed near the Grand Canyon's North Rim. While the forest is primarily mixed conifers of pine, pockets of blazing gold light from the changing aspens created a feeling as if I were looking at blazing torches that had been purposely placed throughout the forest to ward of the impending winter frosts.
