Their Songs Never Cease
"A few minutes ago every tree was excited, bowing to the roaring storm, waving, swirling, tossing their branches in glorious enthusiasm like worship. But though to the outer ear these trees are now silent, their songs never cease."~ John Muir
On the last morning of my Yosemite adventure, it was rainy and dingy but the storm clouds kept my interest, despite being soaked to the bone. Here in Yosemite Valley, near the base of El Capitan with Cathedral Rock in the distant background, the clouds cleared for just a few moments and the sun broke through on part of the scene to allow me to catch this incredibly vibrant image. Normally a meadow most times of the year, this area was flooded with just a couple feet of water from glacier melts, due to completing the largest record snowfall on record.
