Driving North through the dry and desolate part of the eastern side of this Sierra Nevada range, I was anxious for any report, visual or otherwise, of what may be awaiting my arrival to the mountain tops of my destiny. I pulled over to the side of the road and witnessed this wonderful dance of light, sky, and earth and rejoiced in its beauty. It not only illuminated what stormy weather and rugged terrain may be awaiting me, but also illuminated my anxiousness to discover what parts of my soul had been so dark for so long, and I felt a discomforting peace in that discovery.
