It was a long arduous drive on highway 395 in California, as my associates and I thought with imagination about the next 4 days we would experience in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Driving North through what seems a desolate and dry part of the Eastern side of this range, we were anxious for any report, visual or otherwise, of what may be awaiting our arrival. We pulled over to the side of the road and witnessed this wonderful dance of light, sky, and earth and rejoiced in its beauty. It filled the senses of our imaginations as we viewed what looked like infinity beyond us, and it was a foreboding tale of what was yet to come.
