While on my 8-day, 188-mile rafting journey through the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River, we finally came to the confluence of Havasu Creek and the Colorado River. We landed the rafts and took a nice hiking excursion upstream for awhile. While I've been to Havasu Creek and Havasupai several times, this stretch of the creek near the river was a part I had never visited. While it was a great hike, the water was not quite as pure turquoise as we hoped, due to it being monsoon season and running a little more dirty than usual.
