Each time Spirit would run ahead from me far enough, I'd get my big lens ready and then call her back...she never came back at a trot, always at full speed. It allowed me to catch great highlights of the sand being kicked up into the air by her feet, with the long shadowed dune textures behind. Photographed at Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes in Death Valley.
