Boyce Thompson Arboretum
"Boyce Thompson Arboretum is Arizona’s oldest and largest botanical garden. The 350-acre park was created to study drought-tolerant plants from around the world. Trails meander through diverse habitats such as herb gardens, cactus gardens, palm groves, and forest of shaggy-barked eucalyptus trees. Every few steps you’ll stop to ponder how a collection of arid-friendly flora can appear so enchantingly lush. BTA is located on U.S. 60 at Milepost 223, about an hour’s drive East of Phoenix."
