Its always a pleasure to drive the Apache Trail. From overlook above Tortilla Flats I was chilling out enjoying the rolling clouds playing tricks between shadow and light. One of my favorite things about desert photography in the winter is that the always-lower sun in the sky often allows for decent images even in the middle of the day...which does not happen the rest of the year.
