Before starting my rafting journey down The Colorado River, I heard many things. I heard tales of this rapid or that rapid, many named for or about the lives they claimed; of experiences about water that left a person cold and drenched to the bone with delight for living; of great torrents that rip through and around you making sure you are worthy for a particular moment in time; and of flows that will perpetually flow through you till the end of your days, invigorating your life with more and more life. Funny how all that was true -- and now this river always flows through me.
