A Lovely Beauty
"Every once in awhile a rare, lonely, and lovely beauty crosses my path. When this occurs I am moved, not just in admiration of her simple and delicate, yet bold beauty, but also by the infrequency of such an event, and I am compelled to delve in searching for all I can know about her. Why does she survive alone, lost in a world of things far more noticeable. Why have I not known others like her? What does she offer the world, and who would miss her?
Like the hummingbird who cherishes each drink of nourishment from a flower such as this, I cherish the nourishing bits of delight you provide me, and I want to drink you in more." ~ Jack Mountain
I found this lovely beauty right after a thunderstorm in the Grand Canyon, North Rim, while hiking the upper parts of the Kaibab trail. Shot around 7500' elevation.
