I love Arizona with all my heart and its been my pleasure to call it home since 1980. Despite my urban addresses over the years, Tempe holding the lion's share of that time, I've historically been most at home when roughing it off the grid, in the Arizona Wilderness capturing the beauty of our land. I honestly believed I would live here my entire life, but as we all know change is inevitable, if not predictable, and in my case, i choose to embrace it. I choose Love over Fear, as I get to continue to re-invent myself in a new home in Maui with the most amazing, sensitive, and enlightened lady i've met, a true and soulful beauty. She is my Salvadora and I cherish her and what we have. To that end, it is time for me and my dog "Spirit" to pack our bags and fly away, and live the island life.

I'm not historically much of a party thrower, especially for myself, yet here I am grateful for so much, especially all the people I have gotten to meet and know here...I appreciate it all, and thank you for your contributions to me. So why not throw a party...except it has to be a really good party...and you know what else? Why not take my eyes off myself and put it on others while doing so? Why not make it not only a celebration, but also an opportunity to give back? It became clear to me it needed to also be a charity event. So I asked the Down Syndrome Network of Arizona if they wanted to be involved, and that was an easy yes.

Please join me on Friday, November 4th, from 4-9pm at the Baseline Pub, for "John Morey's Happiest Hour Farewell Party & Charity Art Raffle". In addition to a little spread generously provided by the Pub, gourmet sausage and hot dogs with the most amazing relishes will be available outside by Relish Company LLC. But hey, its not just a night at the jukebox, as some of Tempe's finest local musicians, Marc Norman, Kirk Karman A.K.A "The Judge", and possibly others will be jamming. Please be generous with our musical artists, they are here on their own dime, so please tip them well if you like what you hear.

Regarding the charity raffle to benefit Down Syndrome Network of Arizona, with the cooperation of my quality fine art, canvas, and poster printing and framing partner, Vivyx Printing of Tempe, SEVEN of my original works will be donated as raffle prizes. Each valued between $300-500. Come on down and put $5, 10, 20 or more worth of raffle tickets in for one or more of my pieces and maybe walk away with something very special for next to nothing. Not sure you can make it to the event? Do you not live near? No problem! Raffle tickets are available for advanced purchase from now till then at the Baseline Pub, or you can even buy them in advance online, and you do not need to be present to win! Each of the images below are renderings of what will be available for raffle, each an Artist's Proof and signed as such. 45 canvas pieces are available, professionally stretched on thick, solid wood, 1.5" deep stretcher frame with sturdy corner braces. Highest quality gallery wrap in the market. In addition 2 matted and framed prints from my Black and White Howling Coyote Silhouette series will be represented.
