Breaking The Sorrows Of The Storm
“Sorrows gather around great souls as storms do around mountains; but, like them, they break the storm and purify the air of the plain beneath them.” ~ Jean Paul Richter
Shot last year during a very similar storm when I was first scouting out these cliff ruin trips. Just an hour before the entire mountain view was covered in snow, but after the sun broke through, we watched the snow evaporate in front of our eyes all in the period of an hour or so. We would see sun rays rotate through cloud breaks to different areas of the mountain and everywhere it touched vapors in front of our eyes rose from the ground, congregated together up top and then simply floated away; only to be repeated over and over again. Watching the birth of clouds is like breaking the sorrows of the storm.
