Two Images Published In The "Capture My Arizona 2015 Calendar"

I was notified recently by "Capture My Arizona" that I was awarded as a photographer with two images in the new 2015 Capture My Arizona Calendar. A nice honor.

This first one, "Autumn Morning Entity" is displayed in one of the unused day squares for the month of October. Autumn Morning EntityAutumn Morning Entity"There ought to be a way to combine 'autumn' and 'morning' into one word, the combination of the two is special enough to be its own entity." ~ Terri Guillemets Photographed on the Waterline Road, a publicly unused forest road near Flagstaff's Inner Basin and Lockett Meadow. As the sun was finally breaking the mountain horizon and casting that beautiful autumnal morning light, I was reminded just how special this time of morning and year is, like it ought to be its own special entity.

The second one, "Wailing To The Yellow Dawn", is merely part of a multi-image collage towards the front the calendar. Wailing To The Yellow DawnWailing To The Yellow Dawn“Whenever the pressure of our complex city life thins my blood and numbs my brain, I seek relief in the trail; and when I hear the coyote wailing to the yellow dawn, my cares fall from me - I am happy.” ~ Hamlin Garland Coyote is subject of many American Indian stories, songs and ceremonies and if often referred to as the Trickster. Coyotes can adapt to almost any environment, but prefer the prairies and low foothills. They live in undergrounds dens or sometimes caves. Coyote is a survivor. Hunted to near extinction, coyote populations are slowly rebounding in areas where they are least threatened.
I would have liked to have been placed a little more prominently, but it is a very nice calendar full of a variety of beautiful works, and I am pleased to have been a part of it with such other great imagery.  If you wish to purchase the 15-month calendar, limited quantities are available for $19.95, at
