Arizona Highways Friday Foto - My Images Used During September Themes
Special thanks to Arizona Highways Magazine for the various images of mine they used in their weekly August 2014 themes. Below is a recap. If you wish to see the image in the viewer on their site, simply click each image to view it in their gallery viewer. If you would like to see the entire blog, ether scroll through left or right, or click the close-x button in upper left to return to their full blog post.
Revision Update: Special Note regarding my participation in future Friday Foto themes. The magazine launched a new website, and while they still blog about Friday Foto there, they have not figured out yet how to include all weekly chosen images in their blog, and now instead just link back to their Facebook gallery. While posting on Facebook and viewing their galleries there is OK, it just doesn't hold the same interest to me. I may still occasionally participate, but overall I'm finding the whole thing a bit too "fluffy" to deserve my time. I'm discontinuing this portion of my blogging for now, but might include this type of content in the future if I change my mind.

Flowing Through The Lives Of Everyone
"There's a river somewhere that flows through the lives of everyone." ~ Roberta Flack
Before starting my rafting journey down The Colorado River, I heard many things. I heard tales of this rapid or that rapid, many named for or about the lives they claimed; of experiences about water that left a person cold and drenched to the bone with delight for living; of great torrents that rip through and around you making sure you are worthy for a particular moment in time; and of flows that will perpetually flow through you till the end of your days, invigorating your life with more and more life. Funny how all that was true -- and now this river always flows through me.

Mighty Free And Easy
"We said there warn't no home like a raft, after all. Other places do seem so cramped up and smothery, but a raft don't. You feel mighty free and easy and comfortable on a raft." ~ Mark Twain The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
After spending 8 days with the river guides of Wilderness River Adventures, I often wondered about the metal of a man or woman who chooses to spend a great deal of their lives running the river. I concluded that the mighty spirit of such a being is filled with freedom, and thus it is an easy and comfortable choice.
